Replacing blade guard. Is there a washer on back side of blade guard

Is there a washer on the backside of blade guard as there is on blade side of the blade guard? Believe there is a washer that cradles on top of shaft bearing.

The "lawn mower" parts diagram shows that there are two flat washers (parts diagram #39 p/n 936-0488 examples only) between the blade guard (#28) and the bearing cup (#21).
