You don't say what you've tried so here's a link that may help, in case you missed doing something
Also try tightening the 510 thread adapter as directed then back it off 1/4th a turn and try the cart again

I have a lookah bear 510 thread battery that buy from 420buy.com online headshop, although not a yocan battery, but the problem and solution is similar.
Your yocan battery blinks 5 times is a poor connection problem that can be caused by dirty connection, misalignment, or faulty components.
Carefully clean the connector with a Q-Tip and Isopropyl alcohol (99%). Unscrew the cart a little at a time, but not too tight.
Adjust the connection plate using a paper clip to gently pull and push it back up to ensure both battery and cartridge are on the same level.
