I pod touch screen repairing help?!

i was replacing the lcd screen and connected the new screens digitizer, and lcd cable and tried powering it on and the screen was white so i turned it off and turned it back on and it was white again and then it turned off and didnt turn on at all anymore, i noticed the black little cable next to the red one got ripped/disconnected, does that have to do with it? what can i do?
