Where did you buy the battery?

da

I bought the battery from IFIXIT as I have before with no problems.

@jeffreydm - Install CoconutBattery let’s see what it tells us. Post a snapshot of the Apps main window here so we can see.

Thanks for the recommendation but I won't download anything that doesn't come through the App Store.

@jeffreydm - Then you’ll need to visit an Apple Store. I can tell you I’ve used this app for many years and I run a good set of antivirus and malware on my systems and I’ve never encountered an issue with it. CoconutBattery is a safe app.

I commend you on being safe, but you can also goto far just limiting your self to the Apple Store.

Sometimes you can resolve this issue by doing an SMC reset and a PRAM reset! Also you can try booting into Safe Mode or putting the new battery through a full charge cycle (charge to 100% and then discharge normally). I've had to do this after installing third party batteries before. If the message doesn't go away after taking these steps, then I would recommend trying to return the battery for a refund. Good luck!
