Could I possibly use a external monitor to use as screen?

My grandmas phone was recently cracked, and it caused the whole screen to bug out, The phone works perfectly find and the display shows the samsung logo and boots up fine but has some issues at the lock screen, I need to recover the photos from her gallery and I was wondering if I could use a external monitor to navigate the phone.
