I can't install any software. Have replaced HD, but still same issue.
I have been to Apple Store and all hardware checks ok, but I can't install any software. Have tried both installation from internet and from hard drive, but always stops before installation complete. I even tried a Linux version and similar issue - it would run off the disc, but would not install. I have replaced the hard drive, but still same issue. Any ideas if this is a hardware issue?

Its been a while, but for future's sake can you please tell, how it went - if you managed to install software and if possible what prevented it?
