Hi, I have had the same issue before! Before we get started, do you own another apple mac? If so that will make things easier.

Yes, I have a MacBook Pro which I'm using to write this.

@jimu247 Nice, to continue we need to create a bootable Mac OS media. This completely skips the network download and should allow us to go straight into the installer!

First we need to download Mac OS High Sierra, the newest version your iMac supports. Please head to this link and download it from the appstore on your iMac: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/macos-high...

Whilst it is downloading, we need to find a USB at least 16GB in size. Once you have found it insert it into the mac and ensure it has not got any important data on!

Now it has downloaded and the USB is ready, you can check out apples guide of creating a bootable media! Head back here once the media is created: https://support.apple.com/en-gb/HT201372

Nice, your boot medium is now ready. Please head over to the iMac and as it is turning on press and hold the ALT key. This should list your usb drive, mouse over to it and hit enter!

Now you should be in the installer, any other issues please let me know!

Hope this helps

@jimu247 Hi again Jim, any progress?

da

@burtben So far so good. Thanks. BUT, I'm setting up the mac. I'm logging into my Apple ID. And now I'm stuck on the Terms and Conditions. The Agree button is grayed out. Any thoughts on that?

@jimu247 Also had that problem before, you have to not sign into iCloud and say “setup later” and then login in the iMacs settings!

Hope that helps
