Touch ID works but the home button doesn't click after screen replaced

I recently replaced the screen on a phone and the touch ID still works, but anything else on the home button no longer works. Would this be a bad connector on the new screen?

It's a possibility that you've received a defective screen. Double check the connections are seated properly. If the old screen is still good and it worked prior to repair, use that to test the home button.
