How to repair top case

Hello,

i have 2 top cases for the macbook (keyboard, trackpad and on/off button)

-on the first one, the keyboard does not work anymore but the trackpad and the on/off button are working fine.

-on the 2nd one, the keyboard and the trackpad are working fine but not the on/off button.

Is there anything I can do to make both of them work so that I can use my computer? change just the on/off button, or just keyboard?

I think that the best thing to do would be to take the keyboard from the part and transfer it on the 2nd part.

There's an "o" ring a type of cotter key holding the power button in place. It narrows right at the place where the green tab is. Squeeze this to remove it and the power button will pop out. The cable just plugs in. So move the good button to the one that doesn't work and you've saved yourself some bucks.

Thank you for the reply but I have not succeeded, I do not have a green tab. I tried everything but I do not think the button is removable, the entire internet they say that this top case is a keyboard button on / of and trackpad are one. For now I use the top case or any motion except that the on / off button and I use a screwdriver to touch on this motherboard to start it. My goal is to create a new button from these contact points.

I think the most logical path to your goal is to buy a new topcase on eBay for $20. Soldering wires to the power-on pads may be possible, but if you end up damaging your board, you're going to have far bigger problems than you do now. Plus -- and I may be wrong about this -- but aren't the power-on pads deactivated when the topcase is plugged in, such that you can only use one power-on method or the other? I know that's the case with some models.

Yes change the topcase is the best solution but I buy the topcase in working order but power button does not work and I'm from France and the top box "AZERTY" are far from the $ 20 if you have links mail me I'm interested.
