Upper case and trackpad?

I need to replace my top case, but I haven't been able to find a clear description of where the trackpad comes into play.

It doesn't appear to be included in the replacement part Apple Part #: 661-6059

Neither does it seem to be disconnected from the top case in the repair guide.

Can the trackpad be disconnected from the old top case and installed in the new one?

Thanks

I've replace a couple of the new MB Air topcases. They don't come with the trackpad, it's a separate part. If you get a new replacement part it comes with the two springs and eight screws and the set screw to replace the trackpad. I doubt a pull will include those. I close the book with some kleenex between the pad and the keyboard to give it some support. Then put the spring in place and use a small Phillips to line up the hole on the far left and hold the spring in place and then insert the far right screw. Next I put the rest of the screws in loosely, make sure the positioning and alignment is correct before tightening then down

The Apple tech repair guide for this model of Macbook Air states that the flexures use Phillips #000 screws, but I didn't have good luck using #000 drivers on them. A high quality precision Phillips #00 driver worked a little better, but I'm wondering if this is actually a JIS cross point phillips #00 or #000 screwdriver? The screws look more like JIS (Japanese Industry Standard) instead of Phillips, anyone try a JIS with better luck on these?
