How do I get stuff off the hard drive?

I've had my Xbox for a long time and it broke a while ago. Is there any way i could get stuff off the hard drive (like Minecraft worlds, ect). I have a sata to USB adapter that will work with the hard drive. Can i get that kind of stuff off of it?
