If not, then I would suggest that you do so. For now, do not try to use your N64 but clean everything with a high percentage isopropyl alcohol. Take some good pictures of your circuit board and post those pictures with your Question. That way we can see what you see. If there is a damaged capacitor, you will definitely have to replace it. I would even suggest to replace all the capacitors since they most likely are getting pretty old and worn.

After you clean your N64 with alcohol and replace the broken capacitors etc. reassemble it and try to start it then.
