LG 43UK6400 audio but no video - Power board changed
Hi,
My LG 43UK6400 still has audio and the remote control still works but there is no video.
I checked with a flashlight and by looking from the back without the cover and the backlight still works.
I looked up the service manual for the power board and tested it with a multimeter, it turned out that the board was dead (many voltages were not OK). I then changed it and it worked for a day and a half, after that the same problem reappeared ( image disappeared after 15 mins of the TV being on).
Does anyone have an idea about what coud be causing this ?

@funow, If you use the DMM (digital multimeter) now, on the new board, does it show the same voltages that you measured on the old board?
If that is the case, it almost sounds like you have “dirty power” which fries the board. Did you replace with a brand new board, or with a board that was pulled from another TV? Have you had any power surges / brownouts?

@geirandersen, Yes, the voltages are the same on the two boards.
The power board came from a used TV i think (bought it on ebay so i can't be sure). As for the powers surges, i haven't had any (a Xbox and a router are on the same outlet as the TV and still work).

@funow Hmm.. One board failing can happen, for sure. But when a second board (even one bought second hand) fails and shows the same outputs, I’d be looking into why the boards failed.
Of course, the second hand board has a higher chance of randomly failing in the exact same way as the first, than a brand new board, but it’s still odd.
