Reviewed sidebar questions for help? If the battery is worn out, full volume requires more power with circuitry shutting down from less battery power. A simple way to test this would be having access to the battery and temporarily adding another battery in parallel, similar to car battery boosting. If highest volume doesn't cutoff, replace the battery.
