Unable To Reinstall Trigger Properly To Get It To Function Again

I have the 3 set Staple guns from Craftsman # 351.181710, 351.181730, and 351.181750. I was having a problem one day with it shooting all of a sudden and took it apart to check the tip that actually hits the staples or brads to set them in the wood. It seemed it was sticking so I filed the end straight and file the edges just a bit. I put it back together again and it was still doing the same thing, so I took the trigger off and was inspected that which did not seem to have a problem. However, when I tried to reinstall the trigger, I could not get it in properly to get it to function again. So, thinking I could just take one of the other guns triggers off to see if I could see if there was something I might have done wrong, then I ended up with two staplers I cannot seem to reinstall either one of the triggers to get them to work again. There seems to be no spring back on the tips as there was before. Can anyone help because the craftsman guides are not helping me a bit.

Interesting problem as this may not be a typical diyer repair. There may be a YouTube video for help. No experience on my part but mechanical issues are sometimes hidden from diyers not seeing the overall picture. I presume the trigger is coupled to the pneumatic piston along with a safety(?) mechanism to prevent triggering/firing the air pressure driven stapler. If you understand how pneumatic operated devices work with a mechanical safety lock to prevent anyone from firing it without pressing the stapler down firmly to unlock safety, the trigger may need to have preset conditions for reassembly.
