Suddenly my macbook 1342 stopped working. NO SPILLS. I do get a green light on my power adapter, the white light does come on but no screen at all. Dont hear a chime but fan starts up for a few moments then stops, it retrys again and then dead. Didnt drop or any damage but i wonder bout power surge cuz wasent plugged into surge protector once er twice. HELP!!!??

+Great place to start. If that doesn't solve the problem, pull all the RAM. the try to power it on. It should beep. Please let us know if Mayer's suggestion resolved the problem and if it did not if the system beeps with no RAM - so we can advise you further.
Mayer- didn't work, it keeps tryn to boot up- no chime heard, just reboots @5 seconds, quits n reboots....ugh!
Ok- pulled both ram cards/stacked. No chime, just doin same thing... Booting, quit, booting....
