Is my iPhone SE done forever?

My iPhone SE started doing this last night. The screen is on, frozen on one app (specifically, snapchat). The screen is completely unresponsive and unchanging. The time is now wrong and no changes have happened. However, I can hear text notifications coming in. I can also lock it and the screen dims slightly, but the app is still visible. It will not turn off, volume will not work, and I cannot reset it. It will charge (doesn't show its charging but you can hear when it connects) but that is it.

Haven't gotten water in it or anything like that. Been dropped a normal amount. wondering if the se is just cheap because this same thing happened to my last one.

What's my path forward? Appreciate any thoughts!

Can you restore it with iTunes?

Have you tried the obvious solution, to force restart the phone? Here's the procedure, from Asurion, Verizon's insurance and repair provider.

FORCE RESTART YOUR IPHONE

This will help clear out errors that are causing your iPhone to freeze without erasing your apps or data.

How to force restart an iPhone 8 or later (including iPhone SE 2nd generation):

1) Quickly press and release the volume up button.

2) Quickly press and release the volume down button, then press and hold the side button.

3) When the Apple logo® appears, release the side button.
