Why isn't my switch working when docked?

So I have a switch that I'm trying to fix and it gets no video output when put on the dock(The dock does have a green light on when switch is docked). Now it charges when you plug in a USB C cable, the switch and dock are up to date, and the dock has been tested with OTHER switches and it has no problem displaying the image on the TV which means the dock isn't the problem its the switch itself....Anyone encounter this before?
