Repairing the LCD & Flex Cable Keypad for a customer

I have a HTC HD2 for a customer/friend. The screen is very cracked and one of the bottom buttons(GREEN CALL BUTTON) is completely gone. This is my first time repairing this phone.

When I turned on the phone, its just a mess. The LCD is bad, but you can tell the phone is still working. So here are my questions.

Looking at changing the digitizer in the guide, Im guessing I can skip alot of that right? Because I have the digitizer & LCD assembly for the phone. OR do I still need to take everything off like in the guide?

Also, Im not sure how to repair the Keypad Flex Cable and Keypad itself. How do I do this?

I know these will be lengthly answers and Im sorry. Just really need help with this, plus this will be a good learning experience.

THANKS,

Jack

Jack, looks to me like the last 2 steps are the only ones that you can skip, since you have the assembly. You will still have to remove the rest to get to it. You might want to check on here for further information and see if it helps you out. Good Luck. ;-)

Thanks Mike. I couldn't find the HD2 on his site but I emailed him to see if he could get me one. I just hope it isn't hard to fix the keypad cable and keyboard.
