HP M251NW - Error "JAM IN OUTPUT BIN. Open rear door and clear jam."

I purchased this HP Color Laserjet Pro 200 M251NW printer (Product No. CF147A) brand new and have had it for about 5 years. It has printed flawlessly the entire time with ZERO paper jams. The cartridges were changed for the first time 6 months ago and it continued to print excellent text and color photographs ever since.

Just today, the error message started popping up repeatedly: "JAM IN OUTPUT BIN. Open rear door and clear jam." After power cycling (i.e., unplugged it for about 20 minutes) and thoroughly cleaning the printer, rollers, paper bin and replacing the paper, it flawlessly printed the colorful "Demo Page" from the onboard menu, but then will displayed the "Initializing..." and then the "Rear Door Open" error messages repeatedly until I power the printer off. The rear door is totally closed. In fact, I didn't even know it had a rear door for as long as I owned it.

Any ideas?

Tried HP tech support forums for help? The output bin jam and door open error may be paper dust in the light sensors. Some sensors need a plastic vane that moves with paper for the electronics to know a document is in the wrong place. The plastic rotates out of the paper path. Without paper, this small lever either pops up or drops down. This action blocks or unblocks the light sensor. Finding these sensors hidden may allow using a dust buster (canned air) to blow away paper dust on light sensors to clear errors.
