Doesn't get hot but shuts down saying it overheated
Phone randomly shuts down, reporting that it overheated. Phone doesn't get hot to the touch. I've removed most apps.

Likely it is a faulty temperature sensor inside of the phone. Try replacing the wireless charging module and seeing if anything changes.
