Why isn't the palm rest sensor Temperature showing up

I have been using iStat Menus to monitor the various temperature sensors, but, under the list of sensors there is no mention of palm rest left or right, I did try to find why this is happening but, couldn't find a definite answer because all the prior variants of the MacBook Pro 13 with Intel had it available & when I checked the data is also visible for the 14" & 16" MacBook Pro's with M1 Pro & Max chipsets, So if anyone has an idea to enable it or has Apple removed the sensor all together??, Please do let me know.

Hey @saflan

Have you confirmed this behavior using software like TG Pro as i've found that to be a lot more reliable. iStat could just not show those sensors but I have never used it so i cannot confirm.

Agreed! I've found TunaBellySoftware the makers of TG Pro much more with it!

The Apple M series SoC's are very different to the hot running Intel chips so the need of heavy thermal monitoring is not needed.
