Why won't my Fuji mini take pictures

I actually have a Fujifilm Instax mini 9 but it didn't let me put that. Ok so, I was grabbing my camera out of my closet for the first time in maybe a month or two and, when I put some new film in and took a picture to remove the like screen thingy, it made a weird sound kinda like it was printing but the screen wasn't coming out, but like it wouldn't stop. So I thought my film way defective and tried a new one, but now it won't even take the picture! There's just a red light everytime I turn it on, and it says s. Idk if it's just the whole box of film that's defective or my cameras broken? Also the batteries have barely been used, so like I really don't think that's the problem. Please help😿
