Top screen is brighter than the bottom screen
When turning the brightness up to 5 it turns off by itself and when I put the 3d slider all the way up it also turns off.

once you turn the brightness upp to 5 it shuts itself off. Once off check by shining a flashlight beam at an angle against the screen. see if you can still make things out. what I am looking for is a bad backlight. With high power they will shut down since they cannot handle that voltage.

how old is the battery? by turning it up you are pulling more power and if the battery capacity has deteriorated than you may need to replace the battery.
