Broken Screen, the LCD I think is fine do I have to replace the LCD?

I have iPad Air 2 given to me from my uncle the problem is the screen has a lot of cracks but I can still touch it and I think the LCD is still in good condition So can I replace the iPad Air 2’s digitizer touch screen only or I have to replace the LCD as well.
