Maytag Dependable Care Top Load won't Drain

My Maytag Dependable Care Washer (Model #LAT9806AAE) will not drain. My first thought was to replace the pump and drive pulleys, which I did and it is still not draining out. It will begin it's cycle and spin the inside column, which makes me think it's not a faulty lid switch. It will run though the cycles and make clicking noises as it changes between the different cycles but not drain even when I can see the motor running and pump going. It also empties out and flows freely out of the drain hoses, so I don't think they are clogged. Anyone have any ideas? I think it must be a sensor or something that's broken, but not sure which one the check and replace.

You may have to go thru the questions about washing machines to find an answer. The washer should have a wiring diagram for anyone familiar with electrical and electronic circuits. If a Maytag support site isn’t available to answer your questions try searching for Maytag forums. There may be some info there. Tried youtube searches?

Not being familiar with washing machines but did replace a worn safety switch to a top loader that wouldn’t let the washer run, water pumps are either controlled by a solenoid and linkage or something else. My guess on a solenoid and linkage to control when to turn on the pump mechanically or control a shut off valve may be the issue.
