1 Wifi/Bluetooth card possibly stolen
Hello. A friend gave me a Macbook A1466 EMC 2632 (not sure if mid 2013 or earliy 2014) after an unsuccessful water damage repair at a local shop. I noticed that there is no wifi/bluetooth card, so I’m wondering if there are models that didn’t ship with one, or if the guys just stole it.

This is a picture I took when I opened up the lid - the slot is clearly empty. I'm pretty sure the logic board is dead (visible corrosion and burned up dust in one spot).
I'm not attemting to fix it, I'm just taking out the SSD to extract data, but I'm pretty mad that the wifi card was probably removed without consent.

Well, it was clearly forgotten! I would go back and ask nicely to give it back as your son's (or friends) system needs a new WiFi board and wanted to give him yours.
Don't be hostile, bring the system with you with the lid loose. Give them a way to save face. Then express your anger when they fail to deliver. I would recommend you have someone record things quietly so you have something for later if you decide to bring this to the local Better Business Council or state consumer protection folks.

@danj yeah, that would be a good solution, but it's just not worth my time at this point.

@colander - At least worn others of the risk, this persons work is sloppy or questionable! Post a not on a review site and do tell someone in authority.
