TV has no picture or sound

Hi.

Some time ago I was watching tv and suddently the tv picture went out but the tv standby light was still working.

With the phone flashlight and the backcover off I checked for picture and for sound, but none was working

The multimeter reads 0V to the backlight inverter on all the 24V pins.

and 5.2V standby only on pin 3 to the motherboard.

The power supply has no burned marks or bulged capacitors. Also the fuse is good

Tips?

@m4r1an since you have neither video nor audio the backlight voltage really is not indicative of anything for now. We will need to know what model your Samsung is to get you some starting point for further troubleshooting. At least you should measure the voltages on the power board first. See if you got voltages to the main board. All of the Samsung power supplies have the voltages printed on the boards. Post some good pictures of your boards with your QUESTION so that we can see what you see. Going by your scant description I’d be looking at the power supply first.

Update 07/06/2021

@m4r1an here is the fuse to check for power on your T-con board. You should get 12VDC on it. Red probe to one of the contacts on the fuse and black probe to ground.

@m4r1an you are right and I assumed you had the schematics to check . I attached those to the original question BN44-00197B==>>untitledBN41-00982B==>>Samsung+DTV_981A+LE32_450+(BN41-00982B).pdf

@m4r1an thast sounds about right with the stby voltage. So your power supply is on standby but does not supply the backlight voltage. Disconnect the power board from the main board. See if that forces the backlight on. I suspect it will. Remember that it is your main board that tells the power board to turn the back light on (yes, of course there are more things but just for argument sake, that is what it does). If your backlight still does not come on, I personally would replace the main board. Check the voltage on the fuse on the T-con Board as well. Should be somewhere around 12V.

What model is your TV?

@oldturkey03 Model LE26A330J1

The backlight still doesn't come on

What pins should I test to the T-con board? It has a 40pin flat connector

da

@m4r1an just check for power on the fuse which should be located in the connectors vicinity ( I think it is marked as F1) When you disconnect the main board from the power board, what voltages do you get on your LED backlight connector.

da

@oldturkey03 0V on the fuse, 0V on the backlight connector..

@m4r1an so your T-con board does not get any power. Sounds more and more like a bad main board or a bad button bar. What model is your TV?
