Backlight problem. Which inverter to buy?

Hello everyone, I have the backlight on my MacBook 13 "3.1 (A1181) Core 2 Duo that goes off. Searching the net I realized that the cause is the inverter.

Following your guide I disassembled my MacBook and I found the following serial on the inverter:

219300461AA

AS022215100 A1A

4G 136 Z89 A 0CS

607-1859.

Now I would like to buy the spare part, but are forced to buy the inverter with the serial number 607-1859, or the same?

Thank you.

Update

The serial number of the MacBook is W87501KSZ66. The last 3 letters are: Z66.

Thank you.

With the information available, figuring out which exact model you have ( 2007 model year/generation etc) is most peoples first step.......... ifixit has a ID your mac function: http://www.ifixit.com/Info/ID-your-Mac/3...

Once you know your exact model/generation of your macbook finding the inverter for it should be fairly easy..... ifxit sells them under the parts section once you know and select which macbook you have...... You can also find them on ebay.

You don't need the same serial number or exact part number as the inverter you pulled and referenced in your question......

you can find a new one via the part number: AS022215100 A1A - ebay sells them listed by part number and the ifixit parts section should have the part number handy as well, i haven't checked.

As i mentioned above you can find one via the part number. you can also find them by specific model info for your macbook finding a inverter for it is fairly strait forward since most people don't have the part number handy when looking for one....... and may get more results trying to find it via the model info rather then the part number.

in addition to ifixit " ID your mac" section, you can look up specific info for your macbook via the serial number @ apples web site and you can also check http://www.everymac.com as well.
