Why is the speaker volume too low even at full volume

My iPhone 8 Plus max speaker volume has decreased to very low and does not increase. Have tried increasing it both in software settings and the volume buttons

it could quite simply be because the speaker grill is dirty. use a soft bristle brush and brush into the speaker grill
