The cd player works, could it be the capacitors of power amp?
audio is heard as soon as it is turned on and after 10 or 20 seconds it is no longer heard and a slight rustle remains

You should open the unit and measure what’s going on with the power rails … you need to figure out what happened when the sounds stops. Does it miss somewhere the power or is a protection that kicks out and stop the ampli ?
