Error 29 after battery change

Error 29 after battery change

Hello

First excuse me for my english I'm french and i try to speak english very well

I explain my probleme, after buy a battery at Ifixit.com

I followed the instruction about the battery change and when I boot the iphone no probleme.

But 1 day after i saw that the battery stay at 3% and the Iphone reboot everytime.

I tried to restore and few second before the restore was completed, Itune show that there is a 29 error and i couldn't restore my iphone. My iphone is locked at recovery mode and I don't now what I can do please help me !

This may be due to an different battery part number. Seems like the newer 3GS might not be compatible with older batteries logic boards. Did you try to run Fix Recovery to get out of the recovery loop?

A workaround might be to restore with your old iphone battery and then replace the battery once you have updated the phone. But if the battery percentage is not showing correctly with the new battery then you might want to see if you can find a compatible battery or replace the logic board on the new battery with one from the original.
