I dropped my Macbook at work and the Touchbar slowly faded to black, like a Jay-Z Album. Does anyone know which parts I need to purchase in order to fix this myself? as my laptop is out of warranty and Apple is trying to charge me 1k+ for the repair just because of the slight bruise on the corner of the case (Which i could care less about) and they do not do PARTIAL REPAIRS.

I am not sure if it is specifically the Touch Bar, but assuming it is you can buy replacement housings that come with the Touch Bar pre-installed - however it is a very involved process and would require removing all internal parts of the laptop. Hope this helps (:

I can once UPS delivers package back today. However the touchbar is completely blacked out (no light) but it still works (responsive) when I touch it.

I tried to upload video but I exceeded the size limit. All functions of touchbar work but I can't see anything. Was really hoping this display touchbar part would be the fix I'm placing the order right now but not really sure.
