Camera won't work in 3rd party apps

I recently replaced the screen on my iphone 7 plus. After reassembly, the front facing camera on the screen is only working in the camera app or any IOS apps. If I try to open the camera in any other app that does not use the IOS camera api or controls (snapchat, instagram), the app will crash as soon the the front camera is opened. Apps the use the IOS camera controls (Gmail, messages) work fine. I have tried hard rebooting and resetting the camera settings. Any suggestions?
