2 Got a new set of ink cartridges, but only one won't print
Yo! Recently got new ink for the printer. We don’t print with color often so I just thought it needed some time to soak in. But whenever I try to print, it just won’t print magenta! It says the magenta is full, but it is lying because whenever I do a test or initiate cleaning software it never comes out. What should I do??? Get a new cartridge? I’ve reinstalled software, updated drivers, cleaned the chips on the back, I’m kinda desperate here.

What kind of ink cartridge is it.

@Tsar_ Bomba It is a 902XL, we recently switched from just 902 because we found it cheaper. So they're not exactly HP inks. However the printer says it supports these types of cartridges. The printer itself is an HP Officejet Pro 6968 fyi.

Most inkjet printers like to cheat you out of money by doing things like this. They really want you to buy there more expensive ink cartridges, so they make “offbrands” like those not work.

@Tsar_ Bomba So offbrands like ONLYU won't even work?? Seriously?? Geeze, talk about corrupt. :/ Is there any possible type of "offbrand" that might work passed this sort of scam? Because I don't exactly have a whole lot of cash to spare with these sorts of things. (Hence the offbrands)

I don’t know what off brands work, but there might be a way to make it work. Is it a refurbished one? I am not familiar with off brands or refurbishing, but there is probably a chip on the ink cartridge that, if it is in fact refurbished, probably recorded that it was empty at some point so it will not allow use or something like that.
