Mitsubishi CP-D70DW | Does anyone have experience with this printer?

Anybody?

I have a Mitsubishi CP-D70DW that has been in use for many years. Recently the printer is not recognizing when the printing unit has been closed. The circuitry is acting as if the printing unit is perpetually open. While I have the service manual and am familiar with the mechanical workings of this printer, I can't find the sensor/switch that reports/controls the open/closed status of the printing unit. I do see that there is an RFID antenna in a position that could act as such a switch, but that's all I've been able to come up with.
