have a hot air gun and some surface mount opamps I want to remove. I don't want to blow off the neighboring resistors/caps/etc. in the process. What width Kapton tape do you guys suggest from here, 3/8" or 1/2" seems to be the best 'value'?

Apple uses 0.4 " wide tape. I have mine on a large table dispenser but find that I have to cut it instead of tearing it off as it is tough.
