phone keeps restarting and wont charge ,"battery needs service"

i just recently replaced my phone screen and i checked if everything worked before closing the phone and everything works well. however i noticed it wont charge it says its connected and displays a charging symbol but it wont go past 8%. also it keeps restarting usually when it supposed to go to sleep mode and i checked the battery settings and it says it needs service but the battery was fine before the repair. i have tried reconnecting my battery but still the same issue. the lower display bracket one of the screws is stuck inside but it still fits but could that be the issue?

Not sure which screw you are talking about but if the battery connector is seated properly it shouldn’t matter. You could remove the shield and put pressure on the battery connector with your finger and see if acts the same. However if it is showing it needs service and is not charging and restarting it will most likely need a replacement battery installed.

hi, yes thank you i realised that as well, refitted the camera and the battery again and everything is back to normal! i think the issue might have been with the camera mainly as i had to change some things round when i took it apart again...

the screw was attached to the bracket btw and initially thought it was causing the other screws to not sit well, however like you said it dosent affect the battery connector and the bracket is still able to be screwed on.
