Hello All,

I have a PS3 original 60Gb model that as soon as i try to power it up it will shut itself down again, has anyone got any ideas what this could be? Is it a form of YLOD or RLOD? Thanks Rick

My guess is that there may be some sort of power issue. The power supplies for these things have safety circuitry that will cut power if it detects something is wrong (or perhaps even gets a false reading for some reason?). Obviously this unit is on the older side, is it second hand or did you buy it from a store? Is there any thing that indicates tampering?
