Changed LCD, still no backlight.

I just ordered a new LCD, installed it, and still no backlight. Im tempted to replace my 6r8 coil, but theres no visible damage done to it (i was told that there would be corrosion or something). Can anybody help please? I have no clue what to do next.

there are mostly two things which is dealing backlight of the lcd. one is the coil (6r8) other is the lcd itself . if you have changed the lcd then must be the coil . check the coil is damage or not ? send us the clear picture of the logic board removing shields . sometime the lcd is bad . under the flex of the lcd there is 2 prints which is soldered on the flex of the lcd that is of backlight of the lcd . check both are okay with the jack on the flex . check with the multimeter..

The coil looks fine to me, but heres a couple pictures, sorry, thats the best i could do. I did notice that there was a crack in a chip (it looks like it was covering a foil of some sort, and i have no clue what its for)

can also be pin on LCD connection of motherboard..pin 1 ? ( I don't often work on 3gs-sorry) which is bottom row on right. so if 6r8 is ok check that pin..might just need a quick re-tin with solder to make the contact better.

The pin? Where the number one connects at the motherboard? Doesnt that control touchscreen and backlight? My touchscreen works fine, but i will take a look at that, thanks.

the connector on the motherboard has ?14 pairs of gold pins soldered to the board. you're looking at just 1 of them for backlight control
