i recevied a mac book pro from Ebay. the seller told me that when you plug up an external monitor , the graphics work. but when you use the internal screen you get lines and no graphics. And black spots appear after a few mintues . i check all the connections related to the monitor and all was good. Can you help me?

This is not the Nvidia issue as your Book has a Radeon GPU.

Since the seller did not provide a product as described (i.e., the external monitor fails to work), I would return it. It's probably a money pit. If it has no external or water damage, you can get it fixed by Apple for a "flat rate fee" of $280 plus postage.

Yes it will with a Mac or a PC

We need more information. Are you telling us what the seller described, or what you have witnessed? Have you verified that it works when connected to an external display?

to rdklinc: when i connected it to an external monitor, it worked, but with a blank screen . Also when he gave it to me it had no screws around the base, or the monitor itself .
