20 pin data cable to a 30 pin? Possible?
I just sold my A1134 that had display issues. I have the old LCD screen that should still work from that lappy. Now i got a working A1055 with a busted screen, I thought I could just swap the screen out with the A1134 screen but no. The problem now is the data cable size and I'm not talking narrow or wide. The lappy with the busted screen's data cable is a 20pin. The screen I want to replace it with is a 30 pin wide.
Now for the question......on the A1055 logic board, can i buy the 30 pin wide data cable and have it connect to the logic board correctly? The trick here that really confuses me is that according to iFixit the A1055 model should already have the 30 pin. But I counted the pins and there is only 20 pins on the connector. From what I've seen the A1055 mod is for lappys with 933mhz-1.3ghz or something like that. So maybe the higher ghz have the 30 pin but my mod is a 933ghz and I can't find any detailed specs on the logic board display data connector to even compare the connectors.
thankx in advance for advice.
