My 2017 27" iMac Pro screen has a small chip on the side. Repairable?

My 2017 27” iMac Pro has a small chip on the left side of the display. It has no impact on the functionality but it is aesthetically annoying. Can the screen be replaced?

I see that this can be done on the regular iMac screens. The display itself is perfect.

Sorry to necro such an old thread, but are you sure they're the same down to the connectors and such? I remember Linus having some real trouble getting ahold of a panel and needing to have Rossman fix it. Don't really know the details though. I'd really like to be able to offer repairs for these machines!

@synthax - The part info I posted IS the correct part. To help you, you can search the part number 661-08897 as TheBookYard is presently out of stock of recycled screens.

The replacement 5k displays are very expensive! $ 450 and more! Yes they’re pretty easy to remove! Need pizza cutter plastic tip and replacement adhesive. That’s it and patients, I have upgraded my iMacs , and iMac Pro. Ifixit repair guides are the ultimate! They have taught me well.
