Replaced phones battery, disassembly showed damage to screen film
So I was replacing the battery of a friends iPhone 6s. During disassembly I noticed that there was damage to the phones screen - the film which is protecting the thermal paste, or whatever that silvery stuff is, had been damaged. The damage had occurred over the magnetic part below the battery port. Now the phone doesn’t seem to be turning on.
I plugged the phone in to charge it after I had exchanged the battery and it got really hot quickly. Now I have the old battery in the phone and it is still not turning on.
Any advice on how to fix this would be appreciated.
Questa è una buona domanda?
Hello the damage to rear screen plate may not be related to the current situation.
One point is that with iphone 6s it is very easy to damage backlight system when plugging the screen when batttery is connected (even the pjone is off).
Check if the phone is not on but with a damage backlight (use the use button to check for any life)
The very hot behavior on another is not a positive fact.
Good luck

Good to know that damage can occurre easilly, thabks for that info @boyer . However, I followed the guide that iFixit has provided and the battery was disconnected when I plugged in the screen. Hope this clarifies the case further
