It works fine with power cable connected and it glows orange but does not charge.
Battery stuck at 63% all the time.
Battery contidion says: Replace now.
So the question is will a battery replacment work or is the board damaged?
Forgot to mention have tried restting SMC, PRAM.

It is likely that the water has damaged the circuits on the logic board from the battery as there is no power from the battery to the board hence it shuts down when disconnected. It needs board level diagnostics to find and repair whatever damage has occurred.

You could try opening the laptop and reseating the battery connector. Look carefully for water damage marks around it
