SMC not working on “dead” MacBook Air

MacBook was working fine then trackpad and keyboard became unresponsive after logging in. After a few switch off/switch on it died. Would not turn on at all. Left it 24 hours to see if it rectified itself but I didn’t.

Called Apple and they suggested an SMC reset which didn’t work.

Orange light on charger turns green when SMC reset done and back to orange after but MacBook does not turn on.

Battery removed and SMC tried again but nothing.

Battery back in and tried SMC again. Nothing.

Can anyone suggest a next step?

Disconnect the keyboard and battery and try again and if that solved nothing then it is highly likely to be a board related issue which will require a technician to check for any shorted or blown components as you have tried some trusted methods to get any fan spin and signs of life.....
