My Whirlpool Fridge does not cool and cannot set temperature anymore

Had problems at first for over a few months, with the fridge and or freezer not getting cold enough, and then would ‘reset’ the temperature switch (hold to reset button before the 1,2, or 3 setting for temperature in fridge) or the freezer temperature setting up there.

Now, over the last few days, CANNOT reset the fridge temperature… it is just cycling the lights between 1, 2 and 3 setting in the fridge. (any one temperature level light stays solid, just goes flashing from one light to the other and NO cooling) Whirlpool was out TWICE before, and just reset the temperature and power cycled (unplugged ) the fridge twice, and I can’t so far get Best Buy Geek Squad out due to the Covid. I had to BUY a new fridge yesterday, elsewhere, as Wife was going crazy on me… so I would like a refund on this fridge now, enough is enough. Any thoughts on what it is….. i think it’s at it’s end.
