Why do the adapter and magnet connection of my MacBook Pro overheat?

Due to the overheating, the mantle of the cable next to the magnetic connector is damaged.

Is there any repair instruction to be found? Or is there a replacement cable without replacing the adapter?

Hello Charlie

Heating up the MacBook Pro's magnetic connection proves to be a common problem.

Look at the following tube links and comments :

Cleaning the contacts can reduce the problem.

But especially use the original charger and connectors.

The cable next to the magnetic connection is a USB cable and is easy to replace.

Succes
