How to retighten hinge after loosening/replacing
i have a 2.0GHz unibody macbook A1278.
i have previously upgraded my ram to 4Gb ( the price difference to 6Gb at the time was too exorbitant to afford)
and replaced the 120Gb HDD with 500Gb.
my latest venture has been to place the LED lighting mat under my keyboard and now i have backlit keys and a clean processor fan and radiator as a result. :)
However when i installed the LED mat i was reading ifixits' helpful replace entire upper assembly guide which necessitate removing the display. i figured out that i didn't need to do this, but not before i loosened the six torx screws holding my display.
i retightened to a point, but when i put it all back in and fired up the lappie i see that the screen is a little bit looser than before. but then if i tighten it up too much, the shell doesnt seem to close properly. is there a simple way to re-adjust the hinge settings to their optimum place that i am missing? it doesnt seem to be a simple case of "tighten em all and it'll be fine" . or is it? and i'm just missing it?
