My LG TV also has no sound. I’ve tried many of the suggestions on this page, & still to no avail. My model number is 42LD49 0-ZB. PRODUCT CODE: 42LD490-ZB.AEKDLJG. I have images of the inside of tv, now opened up
is this close up enough. Please let me know.

@chestnuts204 post your images with your QUESTION. It is possible that this is a main board issue. The audio amps on TV’s are most commonly not of the highest quality. You also want to let us know if anything happened to that TV prior to it losing the sound.

Have you received any of the pictures I sent of the tv re the sound issue? I’ve tried to upload some pictures I took of the inside of the tv as you suggested but they don’t appear to have been sent.
Re your question as to whether anything happens to the tv before the sound disappeared...I can confirm that the tele was working ok before the sound died. The pictures are still ok but the sound problem remains.

If it’s the main board issue, is the board replaceable or not?
No pictures yet. you need to pull them into the media manager and can only do so while you edit your QUESTION. Follow the guide to do so. Yes, the main board is replaceable

Have you checked if there is audio out of the headphone socket on the TV you didn't say?

No, I haven’t checked that yet & I will do soon; supposing there is sound from there, what next? And if it’s still no sound, what next?

According to the user manual
AUDIO menu items are disabled when connecting a headphone.
► When changing AV MODE with a headphone connected, the change is applied to video but not to audio.
► Optical Digital Audio Out is not available when connecting a headphone.
►Headphone impedance: 16 Ω
►Max audio output of headphone: 10 mW to 15 mW.
If there is sound from there it may be a faulty headphone jack contact that is fooling the TV into thinking the the headphones are inserted when they're not and therefore there is no audio from the TV speakers or the digital audio output.
If there is no audio from the headphone socket then it is back to a problem with the audio IC.
I assume that you have tried different inputs and input types to prove that there is no audio at all from any input type e.g. HDMI, AV, Component input etc and not just the one signal source or input type?
